Internet Marketing Goals: How Focused is Your Website?
Sometimes, we attempt to do too many things with our websites. We want to provide our repeat visitors with (overwhelming amounts of) information, attract a new target segment of consumers, automate processes for convenience etc.
It’s a noble attempt to provide a “one-stop” solution (you agree it is a cliche, yes?) but many sites often lose focus. These sites are so overwhelming that visitors feel lost.
I like to ask my clients, “if you could only sell 1 product to only 1 client, what would you sell to whom?” If your website could only contain 1 sentence, what would you say? Would it be a successful website?
